On 1st of February 2018, the registration opens again for the Wind Energy Master offered at DTU Wind Energy. It is a master degree that is based on online learning and where flexibility is key.

The registration is open for the six courses offered in the autumn. Three of the courses have been offered before and three courses are brand new.

The six courses offered are: Wind Turbine Technology, Wind Resources, Materials for Wind Energy, Numerical Tools in Wind Energy, Offshore Wind Energy, and Measurement Techniques in Wind.

It is possible to follow the courses as suggested on the program website or to combine the courses as you wish. However, you cannot exceed three courses per semester, Head of Studies Merete Badger explains:

"You can combine courses from the two semesters, but we recommend that you choose a maximum of 3 courses in total. It requires 9-10 hours of working time per week to pass each course and most participants in the program take the courses alongside their jobs. Therefore, they hardly have time for more."

Courses offered again
This fall, the courses Wind Turbine Technology, Wind Resources and Materials for Wind Energy courses are offered for the second time.

The first time they were offered was in the fall of 2017. At that time more than 30 students from all over the world participated in the courses. Merete Badger is hoping for an equally high attendance this time:

"We have received very nice feedback from the first course participants. Many of them also continued on the 2nd semester. So we hope there will be at least as many participants the second time the semester is running. We remain optimistic. We can see that there is a need for online education that you can follow no matter where in the world you are located", Merete Badger says.
