DTU Inside

When you are following courses on the Wind Energy Master programme, you are a student of DTU and as such, you have access to the intranet of the university, called DTU Inside. This is where you gain access to the DTU Library, software downloads, and your student email.

Exams

You are entitled to three exam attempts for each course. Once you pass an exam, you are not allowed to take it again. Planning of the exams and any re-examinations will be communicated within each course.

Final Project

When you have passed all nine courses in the programme, you can sign up for the final project and get in touch with a supervisor. You can choose to write your final project either in the spring or the fall semester. Be aware that we require that you travel to Denmark to defend your final project. You do not have to stay in Denmark while writing the project.

Learning Management System

Our Learning Management System is called DTU Learn. You will gain access to the system when you have received your student id and password.
The LMS is a platform where you find the course content and have most of your interaction with the lecturers and the other participants.

Merits

It is not possible to transfer ECTS points obtained at other programmes or educations to the Wind Energy Master programme.

Semester start

Semesters starts around September 1st. and February 1st. The specific date will be on the website when we approach the time.

Study plan

If you wish to plan your study, you might find some use of our study planners since they show you when the courses are offered and give you and overview of your semesters. This is particularly helpful if you plan on spending more than two years on the programme. If you plan to follow all courses and obtain the master degree, we recommend that the course “Wind Turbine Technology” be followed very early in the study and the course “Numerical Tools in Wind Energy” be followed as late as possible and preferable after the courses “Wind Resources” and “Aerodynamics and “Aeroelasticity”.

Tuition fee

If you are a citizen of a NON-EU/EEA country, you have to pay a tuition fee in addition to the participation fee. The fees cover the same type of expenses related to the programme, but for the EU/EEA participants, the Danish state covers the tuition fee.
